    Hello,

I have just bought P5008 2022 which got 2021 NAC firmware and V9 maps, so I wanted to download updates for it and found out that for that VIN number, majestic server will not return any info on that NAC. Also Peugeot web page where you put VIN and it should direct you to "Peugeot Update" app for my car generation, instead the page form just dissappears for good... I managed to update the unit by reading NAC serial by exporting configuration and downloading the license using mitts online tool.

Also "My Peugeot" is showing screen saying "Contact us using Contact & Assistance" when you want check map and fw version updates...

Now my unit is up to date and connected to Peugeot services, I was hoping that maybe after the unit "calls home" it might map to my VIN, but no change. Did you ever saw something like that before?

Any recomendation on which map version to try? I guess that map format changes over time and requires SW update to work... I see V15 as oldest one

On the topic of UIN verification: Actually I realised that I used "Export Config" method, which created file "instkey_0D011E2369D4E6B4BE2B.xml" where I guess that file name contains the UIN when removed the "instkey_" prefix. I also tried to decrypt the contents using psa-nac-firmware-reverse-engineering tool, but no luck

    Hello,

I am struggling to update neglected NAC (21.05.78.22) to latest 21.08.87.32, first created by Peugeot Update, then Mittns Toolbox.. updated does not start and shows only error "update not compatible". My idea was that maybe it's too old, so I started to download multiple old firmwares down to 21.06.47.34 but no luck.

I am wondering, can't it be refusing to update because prehistorical maps? Currently it reports 966.7352-prod

    Any tips?

OK, got ya, but I was looking for it now, because I am struggling with update on particular 3008, which is on version of 21.05.78.22 and I am constantly getting error about update not being compatible, so my idea was to go backwards and try older one... but no luck. I could not even apply 21.06.47.34... all with properly downloaded license file for each update I tried. I wanted to start a thread on this issue.

    Hello,

I have bought second hand 508 SW PHEV 6 weeks ago and when I was inspecting it and trying out while at the dealer the car did not want to enter electric mode, only showing message "electric mode not ready, due to external conditions" (this is translation, my car is in Czech) and the battery was completely drained.

So we charged the battery and the problem stayed. I made some calls and we tried few voodoo tricks but no change.

Then we drove the car to Peugeot service and they actually printed us a Technical service Bulletin (TSB) from 14/04/2023 describing this condition and how to solve it.

I have attached German copy, but in short it says that if the petrol engine has not been heated up for some time, it is forced to do so, to prevent humidity inside the engine and corrosion.

To solve it you should drive 100km steady, engine heats up and unlock pure electric mode.

So I left with the car and after 30 minutes the car turned off petrol engine and used only electric. I used the car 2 days and left for 5 week long vacation with my old car.

So I charged up 508 to 70% before I left.

Here we are, I am back after 5 weeks and the car again refuses to use electric mode only, gasoline engine runs non stop, even when only electric engine is used.

I drove like 6 hours, (3+3 non stop) and it's all the same.

I know only 1 person that have 508 PHEV and he never got into locked into hybrid mode ever and he uses pure electric mode a lot.

Few notes, while we were investigating this issue at the dealership, before we got bulletin, we were told by others various things, such as

    • Diagbox did not shown any error or suspicious warning related to the problem
    • According to some, if the battery discharges and is kept in such state for long period, Peugeot service must perform some reset via diagnostic to re-enable pure electric (to me this is unlikely, since my car is region-breaking and using electric engine)
    • According to some, the message we saw is connected to 12V battery state/health, so we checked main battery and it was OK, but we did not know about the smaller 12V battery in the trunk
    • new idea is that the engine has water detection in the oil bucket and the car is now at the oil change interval anyway, maybe that can be preventing turning off the engine

I would be happy and grateful for any information on this, if you encountered it or if you/service fixed it somehow.

Wow, thank you Mittns for addressing all of my points. Primarily I wanted to do the update because when I paired the car to the MyPeugeot app, it was very buggy and "Car tempering feature" told me to update the FW in car every time I tried to open it. In 24h it for some reason allow me to open tempering feature menu. So my idea was to get the least buggy FW version into the car :D that also supports lates maps (14.0.0).

Related to changelist thread, when it states problem like "TomTom Traffic only works sporadically" it states that in that FW version is this bug or that this bug was fixed?

    Hallo,
