Yes, that is possible but actually it seems they were never enabled to save data traffic cost of the modem (ATB or BTA)
Moreover, that unit manufactured by Magneti Marelli can't go over 3G, and now that kind of network it's gonna be shutdown all over the world (in Italy we have just one provider that still operates in 3G, but in a few months it will be switched off)
