Brightness problem on NAC

  • Dear Friends!

A friend of mine had swaped his headunit from an RCC to NAC W2 in his 3008. Everything works properly but the brightness of the display is very dark. It can nt be improved with the available setting in NAc menu. We have the information that we need to :

"Try another calibration. It is related to zone 0117 "Calibration_Fct_LUM"

but no idea how to do it

Can somebody please help step by step

    Your help would be appreciated

  • That's correct, it's the wrong calibration.

You need an arduino and can module to change the calibration.

  • Hello, Thanks for your answer

We have the hardware ( we used it when changed the head unit)

just do not know ho to modify the calibration as needed

  • First you need the correct setting for the zone 0117, than you can edit the calibration file.

That means, try a calibration where the brightness is working.

Than open the calibration file with an editor and search for the zone 0117:

Compare this line with your faulty calibration and change the values in your faulty calibration to the values from the correct working calibration.

    Than save and try uploading.

    Should work.

Not tested yet, so do it at your own risk, i don't know if the zone 0117 is correct for the brightness.

  • Many thanks Mittns

    We will try it

    Regards

  • Will not work so easy :) you need replace whole line or calc the crc

  • Hello j23!

and do you have any detailed advice?

    Regards

  • The file format looks like Motorola SREC:

The checksum is explained there. You could calculate it by hand if it is just one line.

  • Hello Friends

We tried to upload several alibration files but no luck

do you know a claibration file decoder software?

we woud like to read the calbration from the old RCC unit where the brightness is ok

    Many thanks

  • You know that we don't support commercialization, aren't you?

  • I don't want to commercialize anything. I'm triing to help to my friend

  • Hello

U try this page? U can download calibration for NAC https://github.com/ludwig-v

    Hello!

Yes, we tried all the calibrations can find on that page

    didn't help

  • You have 3 zones: 0117,2124 and 00DE

    >764:664

    0117 to read

    You test actuators?

  • what version of cal was ok for you and what one is not ?

  • It's not a version .cal. With Arduino Ide, u can connect to NAC without vlud's program. You open a terminal. You can read a zone
